To accompany the U.S. Pavilion activities, The Bronx Museum of the Arts has developed extensive educational programs, including a Teen Exchange between high-school students in the Bronx and Venice.
Since 2005, The Bronx Museum of the Arts’ Teen Council is designed to make contemporary art and culture accessible to urban youth. The Teen Council is structured around the production of MuseCasts, videos available on www.youtube.com/bronxteencouncil, and MuseZines, a graphic publication of original work and commentary by a small group of high school students working closely with instructors in the Media Lab. In addition, the Teen Council participates in the Museum’s ongoing DVD series of interviews with contemporary artists and curates a teen-focused exhibition. Held in conjunction with the school year, this program provides teens with an open forum for the expression of ideas and dialogue on issues affecting young people, and the promotion of The Bronx Museum of the Arts as an important cultural, political and artistic force.

Hello From the Teen Council!
The Bronx Museum of the Arts’ Teen Council is taking part in the Venice Biennale this year through a virtual exchange with a group of teens in Venice, hosted by the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. An open forum for the expression of ideas and dialogue, their collaboration is geared toward making contemporary art and culture accessible and exciting to urban youth in the digital environment.
